Taste Quinta pumpkin jam has its origins in the happy marriage of the Cucurbita máxima Duchesne squash - known to the Portuguese as the abóbora-menina (“little girl pumpkin”) - and organic raw sugar, with a hint of orange and cinnamon.

For this version of the proverbial pumpkin jam, Ana Paula uses the most flavoursome organically-sourced pumpkins from the Oeste (western) region, whose firm, yellow reddish pulp is removed in order to be added to the tender and gentle-textured jam - discrete in scent, but intense in flavour.
Tip: It goes so well with sheep’s or goat’s cheese! Combine it with some nuts from the Trás-os-Montes or Alentejo regions, and relish the experience.
